Herbal Medicinal Balms and Skincare
After completing a herbal diploma in 2012, and then studying essential oils, I started making medicinal balms for my family and friends. I use the skills and knowledge gained from both my natural health studies combined with my background of over 30 years in nursing. Each balm was developed to help with a specific situation or ailment. For example, the kawakawa balm was initially made to help relieve the itch of sandfly and mosquito bites in the summer. I had tried other kawakawa balms and my goal was to make something more concentrated and effective than what is currently on the market. Each product has a similar story behind it. I am dedicated to creating products that work. I use all the products I make, many of them on a daily basis. They are a large part of my first aid kit and I believe every person’s life and health can be positively impacted by using them.
What we put on our skin is absorbed into our body, I use only the highest quality ingredients. All ingredients are organic where possible (occasionally I cannot source an essential oil which is organic). I try to grow or forage all the herbs for the infused oils. The essential oils chosen complement the herbs and enhance the efficacy of the products. There are no added preservatives or chemicals. Packaging is in amber glass to protect the delicate oils and prevent chemical contamination that plastic packaging can cause. Hand-crafted in small batches with love and respect for the plants and the environment. The ingredients, formulations and techniques are chosen to give you the highest quality medicinal herbal balms and skincare possible.
